Erik Stafl

President

Erik is an electrical engineer and business leader with experience working on the most advanced electric vehicle systems in the world. Erik specializes in power electronics, embedded systems, and PCB design. He has experience in company leadership, business planning, and a unique ability to communicate clearly between business and technical areas. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Trevor Steele

Communications Manager

Trevor is a public relations and communications professional who helps people better understand the often complex technology in today’s electric vehicle market. He is also an integral part of the team as a project manager, helping engineers and designers deliver products on time to customers around the world. Trevor has a Masters in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Southern California.

Nikhil Jali

Senior Systems Engineer

Nikhil is a systems engineer with experience developing and delivering products in the automotive, industrial, and consumer robotics markets. Nikhil has generated product concepts and has led product development from NPI through to volume production. Nikhil specializes in advanced controls, embedded systems and systems engineering. He is an inventor with several patents and holds a Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University.

Eric Yu

Electrical/Software Engineer

Eric is a software and electrical engineer who specializes in computer applications design and development. He loves to learn new things and prides himself as a jack-of-all-trades. As an employee at Stafl Systems, he works on multiple fronts from developing Applications for Web/Cloud, Desktop, and Mobile to Embedded Applications such as Telematics and Infotainment Systems.

Bryan Grant

Senior Electrical Engineer

Bryan is a Senior Electrical Engineer working on PCB design and validation. By working in research at Volkswagen IECC and Lockheed Martin, Bryan has a broad set of engineering design skills, but specializes in embedded system and PCB design. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Duke University and a Master of Science from Stanford University.

Jason Torres

Mechanical Design Engineer

Jason is a mechanical engineer who specializes on quick design cycles, rapid prototyping for testing, and structural/thermal analysis. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Rutgers University, he worked for Hewlett-Packard, NASA, and a few hardware startups in the Bay Area before joining the team at Stafl Systems.

Peter Wu

Embedded Software Engineer

Peter is an embedded software engineer at Stafl Systems. He enjoys developing embedded software with a specific focus on vehicular applications. Peter came to Stafl Systems after having previously worked on projects at NASA, Boeing and Raytheon where he performed software validation and application development. He has a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University.

Ava Mills

Recruiting Associate

Ava is an executive assistant with a background in administrative management, business organization and hospitality. She assists the Stafl Systems team with talent and asset acquisition, meeting organization and office management tasks. Outside of work, Ava enjoys reading novels, working on computers, and gardening.

Andy McIntosh

Mechanical Engineer

Andy is a mechanical engineer at Stafl Systems. He enjoys solving challenging technical problems that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable technology. After graduating from Northwestern University, he worked in hybrid vehicle powertrain development at Honda R&D Americas.

Marcos Nolan

Multidisciplinary Designer (ID/UX/UI/Visual)

Marcos has worked with a variety of companies on projects ranging across the design spectrum, with five years’ automotive body development experience. He is equally comfortable developing the visual style and ergonomics of a given gadget as he is the look, feel, and functionality of the user interface it runs.

Jeff Bahns

Full Stack Software Engineer

Jeff is a software developer who works primarily on website applications and product development. He is comfortable working in multiple programming languages and environments. As an undergraduate at Sonoma State University, Jeff researched high-performance computing and power consumption.

Kyle Garland

Embedded Software Engineer

Kyle is an embedded software engineer. He previously worked in the energy industry with power systems operations, planning and system modeling. Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Sacramento. At Stafl Systems, Kyle develops software for various applications including electric vehicle applications.

John Enriquez

Frontend Developer

John is a software and electrical engineer with experience building web-based solutions for marketing agencies and small businesses. As a former cinematographer, John enjoys exploring the intersection between engineering and art, developing custom photography drones and motion-control robotics in his spare time. He studied Computer Engineering at University of California Riverside with a specialization in embedded systems.

Daniel Yeung

Electronics Technician

Daniel is an experienced electronics technician and helps the team with production, rapid prototyping and validation testing. He previously worked with restaurant automation technology working closely with electrical and mechanical engineers. During his free time, he enjoys tinkering with cars, motorcycles, and various electronics.

Jay Leung

Engineering Technician

Jay is a talented technician who tests devices, repairs malfunctioning machine components, and provides effective support in the production of multiple products. Jay has an in-depth knowledge of internal working systems and machine functions. He studied computer science at San Francisco State University.

The Operations Manager maintains continuity of leadership across all facility operations, overseeing the engineering technicians who support the electrical, mechanical and software teams and centralizing purchasing, shipping and receiving to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency for our world-class products and valued customers.

Embedded Software Engineer

The embedded software engineer position engages in all aspects of the software life cycle such as design, development, testing, and maintenance. This position collaborates with the Electrical Engineering and Software Teams to design software for the next generation of battery energy storage technology that will be used in stationary, vehicle, and consumer product applications.

Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer position works with our Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Design Engineering Teams to develop the next generation of battery technologies that will be used in stationary, vehicle, and consumer product applications. The Mechanical Engineering team is composed of highly skilled and talented individuals who collaborate on elegant solutions and provide mentorship to facilitate learning and professional growth.

The Senior Electrical Engineer works with our Electrical Engineering Team to develop the next generation of high-voltage battery technologies that will be used in stationary, vehicle, and consumer product applications. Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for helping develop the next generation of technology that enables high-voltage battery energy storage, both stationary and in vehicle sectors. The Electrical Engineer will design circuit boards and develop electronic systems based on our collection of reference designs and technology, further developing the technology to meet the changing needs of our customers.
